Sending and returns. General conditions.
How much does it cost to send an art piece?
Sending art pieces requires a very delicate packaging and transport. We work with the principal courier companies for a very reasonable price. The fee for sending an art piece includes the transport and insurance, which will be calculated with priced specified by seller at the time you place an order.
The courier cost for very big or complicated pieces will be calculated at the time of your order and we will send you all the details before the order is confirmed.
The courier cost of an art piece was given by different params like address, size, weight and artwork value. The seller is responsible of fill the correct information about artwork properties, that allow calculate the correct transport fee.
How will the art piece be sent?
Meseon work with recognised international courier companies around the world like UPS, Nacex and Federal Express.
On some occasions, depending on the country you live and the size or complication of the art piece we will work with other more suitable courier companies.
Paintings:
Most of the time the paintings are sent with the stretcher ready to be hanged or framed however there might be times when the painting is too big and it will be sent rolled (without the stretcher) according to the requirements of the courier company and to avoid any damage. In the event that you receive your art piece rolled you will need to take it to a framing company.
Other art pieces:
Other art pieces, photographs, drawings or sculptures are sent in very secure packaging following the artists instructions for a safe delivery.
How long will it take to arrive?
Meseon does not store art pieces. They will be sent to you directly from the artist studio, the art gallery or from any of our art trading associates.
Once your order has been placed we will inform you within 48 hours of the availability of the art piece and the delivery time. However on some occasions the art piece that you have ordered might be in an exhibition in which case we will inform you of the estimated date in which the art piece can be delivered to you.
You will also need to consider that some of the art pieces might be very delicate or they may need special export permits that may delay the delivery time.
It may also occur that during the time the art piece was exhibited on our website and the time of your order, the art piece may have already been sold to someone else. In this case we will help you to find another art piece that will meet your requirements.
Will I receive the art piece framed?
Meseon doesn’t frame any of the art pieces. It is easier to transport art pieces without frames. We at Meseon feel that you should be the one to choose the frame of your choice.
After I receive my order, Can I return it?
At Meseon we allow you to return the art piece within 7 days of delivery. The full payment will be reimbursed to you excluding the cost of delivery. You can also choose any other art piece available. However we require that you return the art piece in it’s original packaging and we ask you to contact us directly by email immediately.
What happens if the art piece arrives damaged?
In the rare event that an art piece arrives damaged please contact our client services or email us immediately. Our representatives will give you instructions on how to proceed.
These will include substitution of the art piece in the event of a photograph or a lithograph, credit to purchase another art piece or full reimbursement.
How can I purchase an art piece without seeing it in person?
If you like any of the art pieces exhibited on Meseon we can guarantee that you will like them even more in person.
However in order to make sure that you are completely happy with your chosen art piece you have the right to return it within the time scale permitted. Please see conditions.
The art pieces are not kept in our possession however we guarantee them through our artists. The photograph of the art piece tries to be as close a representation as possible to the original piece.
